with the need for more empirical based research within the sport of
cycling. However, it would need to be sport specific due to the various
differences (e.g., descending) between mountain and road. I've done similar
research in order to help athletes and found imagery to be useful but there
has not been enough research focusing on the technical aspects of
performance within this particular sport...as compared to other sports such
as golf, basketball, etc. There seems to be a wonderful growth in this
sport and just like the growth [...]42_2Jan201113:44:09-0800kristinkeim@GMAIL.COM0_0_

The Sport Psychologist had a history special issue in 1995. Attached is a reference list from a paper I wrote a few semesters ago with some of the 1995 articles as well as various chapters from Green and Benjamin's recent (2009) book and a few others. Perhaps you'll find it useful.
Cheers,

This issue was TSP 1995, Vol 9, pp. 366-343. It includes articles by Landers, Gould & Pick, Davis, Huss, & Becker, and Gill, although I'm sure there are others in the journal. There's also an article about E W Scripture in TSP 2007, Vol 21, pp. 152-169 by Kornspan. [...]37_7Jan201112:33:38-0800scastillo@NU.EDU0_0_

This is exactly what I was looking for-many thanks and kudos for knowing this off the top of your head! This is a great issue for those who have not read it!
Happy 2011.
